Phyllis was born June 3, 1932 in Glenwood, IL. She served as a church organist and pianist for many congregations in the south suburbs of Chicago, San Antonio, and Fort Worth. She also sold musical instruments and Queensway Fashions before retiring to San Antonio in 1986 where she provided live piano music to many local nursing homes and retirement communities. Phyllis and her late husband Jim relocated to Fort Worth in 2008 and was active with Gethsemane Presbyterian Church. She was a lover of many different types of music and playing card games with the whole family. Phyllis was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. The family wishes to thank the many dedicated staff at Arlington Heights Health and Rehabilitation who cared for her during these past eight years. She was preceded in death by her siblings Louis Patrick, Dorothy Dockery, and Nancy Machamer and her husband Jim Williamson, to whom she was married for over 61 years.
Survivors: sons, Tom, Jerry, Ron and Doug; daughters-in-law, Holly, Ginny, and Margot; grandchildren Jason and JeriLynn; 4 great-grandchildren Trent, Gavin, Mason, and Tegan; as well as several nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Donna Williamson. Her family will miss her sense of humor and loving nature dearly.
Interment: Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX TBD
