

Ralph R. Turner passed away on August 28, 2019 at his home in Granbury. Born Ralph Ray Turner on April 12, 1936 to Clarence and Daisy Turner in Wink, TX, where he resided until he left to attend college at NTSU in Denton. Ralph, a gifted athlete and true “west Texas boy,” lettered in five sports in high school, and later in life was also an accomplished golfer.
Ralph spent 40-plus years in the commercial lighting business, in sales and management. Seventeen of those years with Texas Electric Service Company in Midland and Fort Worth, TX. He retired from Rangaire Corp. in Cleburne, TX in 1998.
Ralph was a loving husband, to Charlotte, his wife of 36 years; much loved children - Kathy South & husband, Bobbie of New Bloomfield, Missouri, Dede Rhodes & husband Richard of Basin, Montana and son, Michael Turner of Helena, Montana. Grandsons, Robert Glover, Christopher South, Matthew South and Stephen South. Three nieces, Sharon Turner, Carol Sue Holmberg, Ruth Littlefield and nephew, C.T. Brazeal. Many more extended family members and cherished friends, neighbors, and golf buddies at DeCordova Bend, and of course his church family at The Church on Thistle Ridge, where he served as a deacon.
Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Daisy Turner, brother, Otis Turner and wife Amber, sister Ollie Ruth (Sis) Brazeal and husband C.T, son-in-law, Robert Glover and exwife Barbara Turner.
A grave side service will be held on Wednesday, September 4 at 10 a.m, at Laurel Land Memorial Garden, 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, TX, with visitation prior to the service at 9 a.m. ( in the main funeral home building.) Officiating by Pastors C.C. & Georgia Risenhoover. Donations may be made in Ralph’s memory to The church on Thistle Ridge, 4900 Sonterra Ct., Granbury, TX 76049.
