Rebecca Lopez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rebecca Gomez Lopez who left us on October 29, 2025, at the age of 77. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Born on April 23, 1948, in Bruni, Texas, Rebecca was the child of Jesus Gomez and Maria Sauceda Gomez. Known for her caring soul and nurturing heart, she found happiness in tending to a home that was always filled with life – from the lush green plants that thrived under her careful touch, to the laughter of children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were her true pride and joy.

Rebecca is survived with deep sorrow by her children, Mr. & Mrs. Rodolfo Martinez, Mr. & Mrs. Rolando Martinez, Sandra Martinez, Mr. & Mrs. Melissa Lopez, Arminda Lopez; 14 grandchildren; 8 great-children; and her siblings Ramiro Gomez, Raul Gomez, Rachel Lopez.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her loving husband, Arturo Lopez; her parents, Jesus Gomez and Maria Sauceda Gomez; and her siblings Roel Gomez, Roberto Gomez, Reynaldo Gomez and Rodolfo Gomez.

The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Rebecca’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
