Robert D. Goodnight was born June 7, 1958 in Lubbock, where graduated from Estacado High School in 1976. He was a meat cutter for Safeway, Furrs and United. He moved to the Fort Worth area in 1999, where he worked for Walmart as a meat cutter, until his retirement.
Robert was a loving and kind man who loved his family dearly. Family always came first, and he was a wonderful husband and PaPa, who always took care of his family. He will be missed by family, friends and all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his parents Robert Franklin and Joann Goodnight, and brothers Gary Wayne and Jeffrey Neal, all of Lubbock.
Survivors include his wife: Denise Farmer, step-daughter: Candice and husband Coy Johnson, Granddaughters: Sophie, Riley, Abby and Lyra, all of Saginaw, TX; Sisters: Becky Manns of Peoria AZ, Melissa and Lonnie Pierce of Lubbock, Melanie and Brandon Shultz of Wolfforth, TX, Nita and David Rodriguez of Amarillo, TX, along with extended family and many friends.
