He was a master craftsman in the construction industry; a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict; and a member of the American Legion and the Elks.
Survivors include two sons: Robert T. Truby (Barbara) of Maypearl, Texas and Douglas L. Truby (Vickie) of Weatherford, Texas; and daughter Julia Truby Finken of Boston, New York; six grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held in Milford, Illinois.
