Roger Smith was born on January 16, 1953 to Roger Jones and Eloise Harris Jones. He was the eldest child birthed to this union.
Roger, known as "RJ" to his closet friends, matriculated through Fort Worth Independent School District and was a 1970 graduate of Polytechnical High School.
Roger was a self-employed landscaper and enjoyed socializing with his friends, he was a "dapper" man. Roger's love for his family was legendary. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. His impression will be cherished by all who know him. With his passing, another link in our family chain has been broken and no one will ever fill his place.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Calvin Smith; and his aunt that was dear to him, Bessie Lee Thomas.
Left to cherish his memories are his siblings, James Pullen (Beverly) of Nashville, TN, Danny Ray Jones (Bettie), Charles Jones (Doris), Eloise Posley, and Rosetta Hardeman; a host of nieces and nephews; special friend, Mike Rhinehart; special niece, Trenae Huggins; other friends and relatives.
