Ronald Erwin Warren, affectionately known as “Ronnie,” was born on July 19, 1958, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Ben Warren Jr. and Augustine Warren. He was the fourth of their beloved children. Ronnie was educated in the Fort Worth Independent School District and proudly graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School. He later attended Tarrant County College, where he pursued studies in broadcasting—an area that perfectly reflected his love for communication, creativity, and expression.
During a special chapter of his life, Ronnie met and married Shirley Crenshaw. From this union, two children were born, LeRon Warren and Sharonda Warren, who became the center of his world. Ronnie was abundantly blessed with six grandchildren—Jeremiah, Jariah, Amaya, LeRon Jr., Ashley, and Zoe—and three great-grandchildren, each of whom brought tremendous joy to his life.
Ronnie was a devoted father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He possessed a remarkable passion for writing and reciting poetry, along with a God-given gift for singing. His presence brought warmth and laughter, and he found his greatest happiness when surrounded by family and those he loved most.
Everyone loved Ronnie, but God loved him more.
On Friday, October 31, 2025, Ronnie peacefully departed this life and went home to be with the Lord. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved children, Leron (Sookie) and Shirronda; his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his devoted siblings Frederick Warren, Sherry Warren Dukes, Cynthia Warren Gatlin, Sandra Warren White, Vincent Warren (Cheryl), Charla Gregory (Bobby), and Sonia Warren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Gwendolyn Gross, Amelia Warren Law, and Quincy Warren.
