Roy was born Sept. 3, 1947, in Crisfield, Md. He married Rowena Martin on June 8, 1968. He was a retired truck driver and a Vietnam veteran. He enjoyed talking to everyone and his wood working.
The family wishes to thank Gentiva Hospice for all their kind support and help in caring for Roy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William "Domie" and Eleanor Sterling; niece, Lori Beth Sterling; one aunt; and three uncles.
Survivors: Roy is survived by his loving wife, Rowena; brother, Ray Sterling of Everman; two brothers-in-law; two aunts; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and family members of love and not by blood.
