Sadie was born Jan. 14, 1931, in Arlington. Her parents were Dake and Edith Reynolds, and she had one precious sister, Kathryn. Sadie was a lifelong resident of east Fort Worth and graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1948. She was a banker for more than 30 years. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother all her life. Her family always came first, and she was truly the wind beneath our wings.
She was a competitive horse woman who won many playday competitions on her horses Coaley and Dolly. She loved to dance and travel. Mom had been to Spain, France, Portugal, North Africa/Morocco, Mexico, Las Vegas, Santa Fe and too many places to mention. She loved to be on the go. She was an "earth angel." She took care of our father when he was ill, our two grandmothers, helped with her sister when she was ill and Rex. She volunteered at her church where she attended regularly, Handley United Methodist in Fort Worth. You never met anyone who didn't love Mama. She seemed to touch everyone in some special way when she met them.
Thanks for giving us life, Mama... and a reason to live it.
The family would like to thank Solaris Hospice for the comforting care during this most trying time. Also, we would like to thank Felicia Scott, Teresa Johnson and Betty Gatlin for their support and love to our family. Words can never express our gratitude.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, W.T. Stewart, and husband of 13 years, Rex Snelling.
Survivors: Son, Terry H. Stewart of Paradise and his partner, Tim Null; daughters, Kellie Jo Patterson of Springtown and her husband, Steve Patterson, and Karen Falls of Cooper; granchildren, Caitlyn Spence, Garrett Wilson, Susanna Wilson and Kara Wilson of Cooper; and two great-grandchildren with a third on the way.
Arrangements under the direction of Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel & Cemetery, Fort Worth, TX.
