Sam Booker Jr., age 86, passed away on February 18, 2025.
Sam was born to Sam Booker Sr. & Ola V Perry in Shreveport, Louisiana. Sam was the second of 3 children born to this union, Augusta and Ruthie were the other two siblings. Sam also had older siblings: Rodess Booker, Walter Booker and Willie Booker.
Sam accepted Christ at and early age at the Springhill Baptist Church in Mansfield, LA.
When he came to Fort Worth he met married Josie Mims He worked as Owner & Operator of S&B Construction over 40 years up until his death, he still worked.
Sam enjoyed life to the fullest throughout his years. Sam is preceded in death by the love of his life Billie Turner, 2 sons Gregory & Bobby and 1 daughter Elizabeth Perry.
Sam leaves to cherish his memory his children: Donald (Lula) Ray, Barry Wayne, Conely, Mary, Cassada, Simone, Olavie, Ashanti & Sharon; his adopted sister, Darlene Booker Perry; Sam also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family, and friends.
