

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Samuel A. Zuniga, who left us on August 30,2024 at the age of 74. He was a beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend and his presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Born on December 31,1949 in San Antonio, Texas, Sam was the child of Pete and Lucia Zuniga. Throughout his life, Sam was known for his love of GOD, family, and friends. His love of life and positive attitude. Sam was known for his legendary cookouts, he had an uncanny ability to turn any gathering into a festive occasion, always with a smile and a hearty laugh. The grill was not just his domain but a place where he shared his joy and love with family and friends, creating memorable meals and moments. He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he demonstrated unwavering commitment and dedication. His service was a testament to his strong sense of duty and discipline, qualities that he carried with him throughout life. He retired as a machinist from Atlas Copco Mining Tools. He devoted his time and energy to the outdoors, always cultivating beautiful gardens. His garden was not just a hobby but a testament to his nurturing spirit and commitment to creating beauty in everyday life.
Samuel Zuniga is survived with deep sorrow by his wife Josie Zuniga, son Adrian and Siobhan Zuniga, daughter Helena and Nick Kiernan and step-daughter Anissa and Robert Zamora. His brothers Pete, David, Gerard, Joseph, Adam; sisters Lucia, Irene, Theresa, Susan, Marylou, Patty and their spouses. Grandchildren Ty, Madelyn, Ella, Emry, Eva, Elin, Matthew, Sierra, Alex, Trexton, Vanessa, and Jason; many more nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Sam was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Lucia, brother Paul, and step-son Graham.
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. Sam's legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
