Say was born on May 10, 1951 in Kampong, Cambodia. She had 3 brothers and 5 sisters, Say Lorn, Huy Lang, Say Tieng, Say Heng, Say Kuong, Muy Teav, Say Khim, and Ar. She was the 4th oldest sibling. She has 6 children and has had 5 pass away.
Say came to the United States to start a new life with her husband, Thai. She first lived and worked out of Mineral Wells, TX. Say and Thai saved up their money to purchase a brand new home in Weatherford, Texas. After Say and Thai became home owners, Say found a job as a custodian where she worked full time for Weatherford Independent School District.
She was a hard worker and took pride in her work. Not only did she work hard cleaning, she also always tried to spread her joy and happiness to the children at WISD. After her son passed away on January 23, 2011, she moved to Fort Worth to be closer to her brothers and sisters. She still worked for WISD while living in Fort Worth. While working for WISD, she was diagnosed with stage 4 liver disease, cirrhosis. Her cirrhosis was very complicated and led to multiple complications causing her death. She had no chance of recovery and her last son Kheang and her husband Thai decided to let her go peacefully.
We will always remember how you always thought about everyone else before your own self, also the happiness and joy you spread to everyone around you.
