Sheila Lynn Self Wishard

November 11, 1945 – September 4, 2022

Sheila Lynn Self Wishard went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 4, 2022 at 76. Sheila was a resident of North Richland Hills, TX and a member of The Hills church in North Richland Hills.

Sheila was born on November 11, 1945 in Port Neches, TX to Ralph and Gladys Self. She attended Port Neches-Groves high school and Abilene Christian University. She married Larry Wishard on September 1, 1967. She was mother to two children, Jeff Wishard and Amy Wishard Goggins, and grandmother (“Nana”) to Jared Wishard and Jordan Goggins. In addition to helping Larry in his work as a minister for 41 years, she enjoyed serving the Lord in several ministries, including teaching bible class, and ministering to prisoners via monthly devotional newsletters.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Gladys Self. She is survived by her husband, Larry Wishard of North Richland Hills; her children, Jeff Wishard and his wife Donna of North Richland Hills, and Amy Goggins of Marietta, GA; her grandchildren Jared Wishard and Jordan Goggins; her brother Stan Self and wife Camille of Scottsdale, AZ; and numerous other cherished family members and friends.

The family will receive guests at a celebration of life ceremony in the chapel at The Hills church in North Richland Hills on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Compassion International at compassion.com.
