

Sheri Vaness Johnson was born in Lincoln, Nebraska to Sam and Celestine Perry on July 24, 1962. She was a graduate of Everman High School, Class of 1980.
In December of 1984 Sheri enlisted in the United Air Force where she served until September of 2011.
Sheri worked for the Federal Government for 30 years. During this time she served as an Administrative Officer and a Mission Support Specialists. In 2021 she retired from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
Sheri attended the University of Phoenix and received her Master’s in Psychology in 2015.
Sheri was a very proud member of Kappa Epsilon PSI Military Sorority International, Incorporated. She loved Interior Design, Casinos, and Korean Dramas.
Sheri was preceded in death by her sister, Camelia Perry, maternal grandparents, Columbus Lewis and Margerite Stafford and paternal grandparents, Sam and Annie Mae Perry. Sheri Vaness Johnson’s memory will forever be in the hearts of her beloved children, daughter, Nina Solomon, son, Andre Hughes; mother, Celestine Perry, father, Sam Perry (Ethel); sister, Alicia Perry Smith (Bernard); brothers, Harold Perry (Anita), Dwayne Perry (Omega); stepdaughter, Niaisha Johnson stepsisters, Debbie Jackson and Lynette Fleming; stepbrother, Elmer Wafford (Aleena); niece, Angela Perry; nephew, Brandyn Adams (Juanita); and a host of relatives and friends.
