Bedford -- Shirley Jo Howard, 76, retired from Town & Country Drug, passed away peacefully at North Hills Hospital, Friday morning, March 4, 2011, after a courageous battle with a myriad of health problems.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m., Monday, February 7, 2011 at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow immediately after service at Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by her husband of thirty-three years, Joe Howard; parents, Walter and Ocie Gilmore; two sisters; and five brothers.
Shirley leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Alisha Benton of Bedford; Barbara Howard of Bedford; sons, Glen Benton of Houston; James Howard and his wife, Tonya, of Alvarado; and her devoted sister, Jenny Maenner, of North Richland Hills; nine cherished grandchildren; five adored great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She will be forever remembered in the hearts of her many friends and relatives. “Earth hath no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.”
