Born June 19, 1924, in Tracy City, Tenn., to Frank and Jeanette Amelia White, Sidney completed high school and two years of college as well as serving nine years in the U.S. Navy to become a proud veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. Gale Miller became his wife in Jackson, Miss., in 1958.
Sidney was employed by the Cummins Engine Company for 33 years as a regional service manager. He was member of North Pointe Baptist Church and was a full-time R.V.er for 15 years, successfully travelling to all 50 states, Mexico and Canada.
Sidney was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Jeanette Amelia White.
Survivors: He is survived by his wife, Gale Miller White; son, Michael Wayne White and his wife, Christine; daughters, Anita Jean Hughes, Sydney Lynn Jones and husband, Tom, and Frances Renee Swift and husband, Richard; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
