Stephen served in the United States Air Force as a Missile Mechanic and achieved the rank of TSgt. After 21 years of honorable service, he retired from the Air Force and went to work, and later retired, from both Bell Helicopter and Lockheed Martin's Quality Control Department. Stephen's grandchildren were his life. He was also an avid fisherman and had a love for his pets: Duchess, Chipper, and Precious.
Stephen was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence B. Stroud; infant son, Randy; and son-in-law, Anthony Luke Mason.
Left to cherish Stephen and the memories he left behind include his loving wife, Shirley; Children: Michael W. Stroud and wife, Christine; Melissa Doss; Melanie Mason; and Theresa Moreno; Grandchildren: Nikki, Jamie, Megan, and Sarah Mason; Alex and Daniel Doss; Thomas Stroud; Josephine, Yevonne, John and Manuel Moreno; and Christopher Barnes and wife, Adrienne; Numerous Great-Grandchildren; Mother, Annie L. Stroud; and Sister, Brenda Hagan and husband, Bobby.
