Steven was born in Houston, Texas, on December 30, 1953. Steven graduated from Southwest High and received his diploma.
Steven had a career in security alarms for Alert Alarms of Texas. He had a passion for the outdoors and kayaking.
He was preceded in death by his second wife, Nova Holtz.
He is survived by his first wife Cathy Phifer; his father Waldo Lee Ed Holtz; his children Summer, Alyssa, and Heather; his grandchildren Ethan Phifer, Jacoby Hasan, Ian Street, Kaydee Hasan, Reagan Howell, Ryleigh Street; and his siblings Greg Holtz, Rebecca Huddleston, Debbie Pinkard, and Celeste Hamlin.
A Memorial Gathering will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home (stateroom), 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134, on April 25, 2026, beginning at 2:00 pm.
