Sylvia was born Oct. 6, 1938, to Orville and Lena Schroeder in Hannibal, Mo. She graduated from Arlington Heights High School. Sylvia attended Texas Christian University where she earned a bachelor of arts degree in music education and was an active member of the Fort Worth Orchestra Symphony where she played the violin. She also taught children with special needs how to play the violin and enjoyed seeing them each day. She often spoke of how wonderful they were and how much she loved them.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Lena Schroeder.
Survivors: Sons, Donald Stoddard and wife, Jessica, and James Stoddard; grandchildren, Ryan Stoddard and Sarah Stoddard; and numerous friends of her sons whom she loved and considered her children.
