

Terence “Terry” Roderick Henderson, went to be with our Lord and Savior on February 8, 2025.
Terry was born to the union of Doris and Thomas Henderson on August 21, 1965. He had two older sisters who eagerly awaited his arrival, and later he was blessed with a baby brother. From a young age, Terry was known for his kind heart, infectious laughter, and unwavering loyalty. Terry was a cherished son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and friend to many.
Growing up in Fort Worth, Texas, Terry graduated from Southwest High School, where he developed a strong work ethic. After graduating he enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served for four years. Terry had a successful career, and was employed by GE Lighting, Albertsons Distribution, and Century HVAC Distributing. He was known as a hardworking and dependable employee.
Terry found great joy in his family. He and Jerri Henderson married, and from their union they raised two children together, Teri Megan and Terence Jr.
Faith played a central role in Terry’s life. Raised in a household of faith, he accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of the Upper Room Temple, and The Greater Love Chapel C.O.G.I.C. He later became a devoted member of Heavenly Vision Baptist Church under the shepherding of Dr. Bernard Tate. While at Heavenly Vision, Terry served diligently in the security ministry.
Terry’s life was marked by love, joy, and service. He was known for his sense of humor and ability to bring joy to any room he entered. He never met a stranger and had a unique gift for
making people feel valued. Whether through a phone call, a heartfelt text, or a simple act of kindness, he was always there to uplift and encourage others. In his pastime, he enjoyed watching and attending sporting events, barbequing, exploring new eateries, and spending time with loved ones.
Terry was preceded in death by his father Thomas Henderson; wife Jerri Henderson; brother Derrick Henderson.
Terry leaves to cherish his memory, his children Teri and Terance Henderson; his mother, Doris Jane Montgomery Henderson; sisters, Monica Shelton and Natalie Green, a close brother-in-law, Pastor Charles Green; nieces and nephews, Nikki Petties (Curtis); Krishna Harrington ; Bennie Miller Jr. (Tanya); Jason Sibley (Kimberly); Jarette Sibley; Twyla Pierce; and a host of relatives and friends.
Though Terry may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the lives he touched. His love, laughter, and unwavering faith will be carried forward by all who knew him.
