

Thelma THOMAS, age 95, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021. Thelma was born March 6, 1926 in East Texas Town of Caldwell to the parents of Frank and Thelma Moore. Thelma moved with her family to Fort Worth and settled on the Northside of town, where she attended Clinton Avenue School and graduated from the historic I.M. High School. Thelma taught in several schools in Fort Worth ISD for 25 years and worked for the City of Fort Worth as an event coordinator. Thelma was a devoted Christian and was a member of Thompson Chapel United Methodist Church for many years. Later on, her church merged with Harvest United Methodist Church and she had a combined membership of 60 years. Over those years she served as an usher and a greeter. After a long and productive life, God saw fit to call her to her Heavenly Home. Preceded in death by her sister Eva Medlock and nephew Thomas Mason. Left with fond and precious memories are sister, Marie Pickens; nieces, Sandra Williams, Mary Kennedy, Gail Crawford and Dr. Venessa Battle, one nephew, Kenneth Battle and a host of other relatives and friends.
