

Tommy was born in El Paso, Texas, October 11, 1928, to Greek immigrant parents. His family moved to Ft. Worth where he grew up and graduated from Technical High School. He attended college at what is now UTA and at TCU.
While working at Meacham Airfield, he developed a love of flying. He joined the Navy and became a naval aviator. He was honorably discharged from both World War II and the Korean conflict where he flew naval aircraft.
He attended Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church where he met the love of his life, Evangeline “Dolly” Vlamides and they were married in 1953.
After the war, Tommy went to work for American Airlines and flew for 32 years. In addition to flying, he assisted his brother Dan in the development of the Bell Industrial District in Euless, Texas.
After retirement, he and Dolly set out on a series of adventures including hosting many parties at their home, traveling the world and criss-crossing the U.S. in their RV.
Tommy is survived by Dolly his beloved wife of 71 years, his children Ted (Nan), Pat (Elizabeth), and Ellen (William) whom he adored,and eleven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was loved by his family, his colleagues, his neighbors and friends and will be greatly missed.
