Troy Marie Auzenne received her heavenly wings on October 18, 2025 surrounded by the love and presence of her children at Methodist Hospital in Mansfield, Texas.
Troy was a proud native of New Orleans, Louisiana.She was born on December 5,1961 to the union of Joyce L Hunter and the late Randolph Auzenne. She attended St. Mary’s Academy and graduated from Marion Abramson High School in 1979.
From an early age, Troy had a creative spirit and a love for cosmetology. She pursued her passion at John Jay Beauty College where she perfected her skills as a hair stylist. While mastering her craft, she also discovered a deeper calling; her love for ministry and desire to serve God’s people.
Most affectionately loved to some she was “Grandma”, others called her “Teedy” and depending on the day you might hear “Sister Troy” or “Prophetess Troy” but her favorite and most cherished name of all was “Mama.”
Troy’s love, humor and generous heart left an impression on everyone she met. She was compassionate, giving, full of life and always the one cracking jokes lighting up any room she entered. She was truly the life of the party and a joy to be around.
Despite facing many years of health challenges, Troy’s faith in God never wavered. Her devotion to ministry and her love for others remained steadfast. Through every trial she demonstrated unimaginable strength, perseverance and grace.
Troy was well-known for her genuine love for God. She was a prayer warrior and a worshipper as well as an ordained Prophetess at Word of Peace International Ministry in Grand Prairie, Texas. She was a proud graduate of The Potter’s House School of Theology in Dallas Texas. She lived her faith in action by serving faithfully in the women’s prison ministry, assisting with drug rehab programs and dedicating time to feeding the homeless. Her heart for restoration and redemption radiated through every life she touched.
She was preceded in death by her father Randolph Auzenne, grandsons Stephon and Steven Easterling, maternal grandparents George and Helen LaFargue, paternal grandparents Darrell and Lydia Auzenne, stepfather Julius Hunter Jr., aunts Jean LaFargue and Gracie Labbee and uncles Richard LaFargue Sr. and Alvin LaFargue.
Troy leaves to cherish her memory by her loving mother Joyce L Hunter, children Danielle McCall, Alisha Auzenne, Lester Matthews III, Leslie Matthews, Keith Keasley Jr., Tyrielle and Alexis Davis, grandchildren Salina Easterling and Legend Keasley, sister Lisa Auzenne Ward (Elton), nephew Brandon Auzenne Sr. (Liz), great-nephew Brandon Auzenne Jr., great-niece Amari Auzenne, stepmother Elaine Auzenne and a host of cousins, relatives and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts.
Troy’s legacy of love, laughter and unwavering faith will live on through all who were blessed to know her.
