Vera Dose loved Christmas season, playing golf and tennis, and spent years teaching swimming. After 94 wonderful years she passed away Friday, April 9, 2021. PRIVATE GRAVESIDE SERVICE: The family appreciates your understanding during this difficult time. Vera was born in Salisbury, Maryland in Wicomico County where she attended school. After high school, she met and married Ted, the love of her life. Vera enjoyed spending time on the beach in Ocean City growing up and enjoyed life wherever it took her as a Navy Officer’s wife. She was one of the first Red Cross certified water safety instructors in Ft. Worth to teach handicapped children to swim and spent decades teaching toddlers to swim. Her family was her life, and she was a person of strength. Vera was married to Ted for 75 years; they were inseparable and deeply in love with each other to the last. She passed away 74 days after Ted’s passing. She is survived by her three children, four grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
