Victoria Duarte Gibson, 66, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 16, 2021. Mike Zamora and her oldest son, Glenn Anthony Gibson were with her at her passing. In addition to Anthony, Victoria is survived by her mother, Mary Louise Duarte, son Shawn Gibson, her sisters Belinda Cano, Clarinda Sandoval, brother, Crispin Duarte Jr., grandchildren Braydon and Faith Gibson, Isla and Ixchel Gibson, Gabriel Edward Flores and numerous nieces, cousins and relatives.
Victoria was born on May 26, 1955 to Crispin and Mary Louise Duarte. She attended Fort Worth public schools including Trimble Technical High School. Her passion was her sons, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and volunteering for Non-profits like the Hispanic Organization of Postal Employees and the Women’s Program while employed by the U.S. Postal Service for 40 years. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Felicia Marie Flores, her brother Edward Duarte and Father, Crispin Rodriguez Duarte.
Designated pallbearers will be Raymond Flores, Charles Flores, Gabriel Flores, Mark Zamora, Mike Zamora Jr. and Lonnie Martinez.
Visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home at 7100 Crowley Road in Fort Worth on Friday, October 22 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with Funeral Services scheduled in the Laurel Land Chapel on Saturday, October 23 at 10 am. Crossroads Christian Church will be officiating the funeral service in the chapel and graveside service.
