

Bill was born on December 21, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where he spent his formative years in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. He went on to attend grade school at Hickory Grove School and Waukesha High School. After high school he joined the United States Air Force where he learned electronics and was a heavy transmitter technician. After leaving the Air Force he had a lifelong career as an electrician. Bill worked at Waukesha Motors, The Ben Hogan Company, Bell Helicopter, and retired with a 30 year career at Miller Brewery in Ft. Worth. Throughout his career, he was known for his hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others. Strong willed and with skill sets at troubleshooting mechanical and electrical problems.
But more than anything, Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Bill’s first marriage to Mignon Brewer for which they had two sons Mark and Russ. After the first marriage came to an end, Bill married Rhonda Simpson. Rhonda brought into the marriage her son Grant Cranson. Bill loved spending time with his children and offering guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
Bill moved to Crowley, TX in the summer of 1964 and that is where he lived until his passing.
In his free time Bill enjoyed motorcycles, boating, fishing, RC airplanes, and loved his dogs. In 1968 he became a licensed Private Pilot at Oak Grove Airport. Bill had a lifelong passion for electronics for which he completed a mail order television technician course. Later in life he enjoyed building personal computers. Since his early twenties Bill was a Freemason.
His memory will be cherished by his sons and their wives Mark and Kim Kamp, Russ and Michele Kamp; and stepson Grant Cranson; his grandchildren Amberly Kamp Cross, Sarah Johnson, Marilyn Kamp, Mary Cranson, Loyd Cranson, Olivia Kamp, and eight great grandchildren.
Bill was preceded in his passing by his wife Rhonda Kamp; brother Kenneth Kamp; mother Mathilda Kamp; and father William K. Kamp.
