Willie George Sanders, Jr. a resident of Goldsboro, North Carolina, passed the early morning of February 18, 2021. Willie was born in Fort Worth, Texas on October 24, 1955 to Willie George Sanders, Sr. and Freddie Lee Gillis. He graduated from O.D. Wyatt High School in Fort Worth, Texas 1974. He is commonly referred to as "Junior" by his family and friends. Willie was a charmer and known by his infectious laughter. He will be sorely missed by many near and far. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Willie George Sanders, Sr. and Freddie Lee Gillis, his brother Michael, his Aunt Bobbie and Uncle Melvin Mackey. Jr. is survived by; his children Keyondra Thompson, D'Sjoir Brown, Ryan Hearon, Keyon Thompson; 4 grandchildren, stepfather, Charles Gillis (Beatrice); sisters, Demetria O'Conner (Timothy) and Denise Johnson; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and family members.
