Betty Anne Chiappini

Betty Anne (Haughey) Chiappini, 86, of Framingham, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2013 surrounded by her family. Betty was the beloved wife of Ernest J. Chiappini for 60 years. Betty was born in Boston, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late William B. and Elizabeth (O’Leary) Haughey and was a 1945 graduate of Framingham High School.

Betty’s number one love and enjoyment was spending time with her family. She also loved golfing with her family and friends and enjoyed many wonderful years vacationing in Naples, Florida along with her husband.

Besides her husband, Ernest, she is survived by her four children: Phillip J. Chiappini and his wife, Susan, of Naples, FL; Marianne Wessels and her husband, Philip, of Jacksonville, FL; David A. Chiappini of Framingham, and Julianne Hanna of Southborough. She also leaves her sister, Nancy H. Pederzoli of Franklin; her three brothers; Robert M. Haughey of Barrington, RI, and Naples FL, Joseph H. Haughey and his wife, Helen, of Framingham , and Phillip C. Haughey and his wife, Peggy, of Waban. She is also survived by two sisters in law; Carlene Haughey of Southboro and Eleanor Bernardi and her husband , Fred, of San Diego, CA. Additional survivors are her four grandchildren; Philip A. Wessels and his wife, Nicole, of Orlando, FL; Kristin Salts and her husband, Matt, of Jacksonville, FL; Brooke Hanna of Southboro, and Keely Hanna of Southboro as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late William B. (Liam) Haughey and the late Jack C. Haughey.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 30, from the Wadsworth-Chiappini Funeral Home, 318 Union Ave., Framingham at 8:30 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Bridget Church, 830 Worcester Rd. (Rt. 9) Framingham at 10:00 o’clock. Visitation at the funeral home will be Thurs., August 29, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. Donations in memory of Mrs. Chiappini should be directed to St., Bridget Parish in Framingham.
