Carol A Forrest

Born in Groton, she was the daughter of the late Paul Griffin and the late Lucille (Grimm) Griffin of Harvard.

She is survived by her loving husband Marshall “Woody” Forrest; her son Norman P. Chesmore and his wife Miriam of Medway; her daughter Nanci C. Mitchell and her husband John of Franklin; sisters, Jeanne Griffin and her husband Dr. Lawrence Epstein of Wells, ME, Marylou Lehmann of Henderson, NC. She was predeceased by her sister, Sara (Griffin) Onorato of Reading. Carol was the loving grandmother of Amanda Dwyer and her husband Sean, Paul Mitchell, Brian Chesmore and Kevin Chesmore; great grandmother of Liam and Owen Dwyer. She also leaves many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Although retired, Carol worked as an executive secretary for the Ashland and Framingham School Departments for many years. She loved her job and especially enjoyed working with the students.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at the Faith Community Church of Hopkinton, 146 East Main St., Hopkinton, at 10 AM, followed by interment at Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.

Visitation will be Monday, March 28, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at MetroWest Funeral and Cremation Service of Wadsworth- Chiappini, 318 Union Ave., Framingham. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Faith Community Church of Hopkinton.
