Fred pursued his love of Slavic literature and Russian to the end of his life, still working on a Russian study guide for War and Peace. He had a long career in the travel industry, as an early adopter of many computer languages, and traveled widely, often with his daughter, and later, with his wife. Fred found true peace on the water’s edge on Hawai’i.
He and Leslie were at their best collaborating on projects together, from a food marketing business to their pursuit of all things sustainable, including their all-perennial, lovingly tended, four compost-bin yard, which did not include a single blade of grass.
He also leaves a 25 year relationship with the Battlegreen Tennis League of Lexington, where the World’s Okayest Tennis Player will be sorely missed.
At Fred’s wishes, there will be no funeral service, but all his friends and family are invited to gather at their Framingham home on Jan.6-Jan.7, 2024, from11-2pm and 4-7pm to sit Shiva.
