FRAMINGHAM – Jean E. Moody-Bushell passed away in her home on Sunday, December 14, 2014 in the loving arms of her husband of 50 years Raymond (Rob) O. Bushell.
Born on November 3, 1946 in Melrose, she was the daughter of the late Elsworth L. and Ethel M.(Coffin) Moody.
A Framingham resident for most of her live, Jean graduated from Framingham North High School class of 1965 where her love of music began. As an alumni of Berklee College of Music, Jean shared her love of music theory, vocal therapy and piano with hundreds of students over her 30 year teaching career. Each and every one of her students became a member of the family, some booking extra time just to sit, share stories, and experience life lessons through the books of music. Singing was her way of sharing love and her beautiful voice will be remembered in the hearts of many.
While teaching, Jean co-owned Moody Piano & Organ and Moody Music Studios and also helped her husband with the day to day operations for Bushell Piano Movers.
She was an avid Tae Kwan Do enthusiast, earning her 3rd degree black belt and participating in local competitions. She loved musicals and mystery shows, which she often shared with the many furry friends she loved and cared for throughout the years.
Along with her husband, she is survived by three children Laurie Lovell and her husband Jeffrie Lovell, Tammy Langmeyer and her husband Corey Prince, and Mark Bushell and his wife Lanie all of Milford. Jean also leaves two brothers Glenn Moody of Bellingham and Scott Moody of Marlboro and 8 grandchildren; Christopher, Timothy, Samantha and Andrew Nicholas, Taylor Langmeyer, Aidan, Wesley, and Lucas Bushell and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her youngest brother Roy L. Moody.
To honor her wishes, a private service will be held at the discretion of her family. A celebration of life will be shared at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation and/or Framingham Animal Hospital c/o Dr. Susan Rabaut.
