She graduated valedictorian from Beacon High School in Beacon NY, while living with her foster parents, Frank and Arabella Bolaskey, in Glenham. She married Jack Green Davis, of Fairmont WV, in 1945. She and Jack lived in Morgantown, WV, Fishkill, NY, Northborough, MA, Lillesand, Norway, South Yarmouth, MA, and Nokomis, FL before moving in to live with her daughter and family in Millbury, MA.
Kitty took deserved pride in her organized household, cooking, and raising their children in Northborough, MA. She was an active member of the Unitarian Church in Northborough and volunteered at Hahnemann Hospital in Worcester, and in special education classes in the Northborough schools. She and Jack jointly ran a business on Cape Cod for several years. They retired to Nokomis FL in 1988 where they spent 11 happy years enjoying family and new friends there as well as family and friends happy to visit them in FL.
Anyone who spent any time with Kitty immediately sensed her kindness and warmth, her adept problem-solving skills, her appreciation of them, and in later years, her adaptability to many new norms in society which endeared her to her grandchildren and their friends. She made friends of all generations and wherever she was, and maintained her friendships from high school lifelong. In later years, Kitty’s life was immensely enriched by her friend Sandy Tuttle.
