

ASHBURNHAM – Wilson B. Wilder, 80, died Dec. 8, 2013, at Health Alliance Hospital in Leominster, Ma. A son of the late General Dewey and Nora (Bowman) Wilder, he is survived by his daughter Karyn Caissie and her husband Wilfred “Fred” of Ashburnham; grandson Calixte “Cal” and granddaughter Jessie Caissie, both of Ashburnham; Mr. Wilder is also survived by
his nephew Richard Wilder and his wife Judy of KS; and his former wife Gloria (Algier) Wilder.
He served in the Marines and U.S. Army and retired with 30 years service as SGM/E9. He served in the Vietnam War, Korea and Desert Storm, where he earned several medals. He was involved in the Combat Infantry Association, 101st Airborne Division, and Chapter 72 Special Forces Association.
Visiting hours will be held on Sun., Dec. 15, from 2-6 PM, at the Curley-Marchand Funeral Home, 89 West St., LEOMINSTER; relatives and friends are kindly invited. Inurnment service with military honors will be held on Monday, Dec. 30 at 11 o'clock in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, 111 Glenallen St., Winchendon. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to and are under the direction of Metrowest Funeral & Cremation Service, Wadsworth – Chiappini, FRAMINGHAM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Wilson’s memory may be directed to Toys for Tots, 18251 Quantico Gateway Dr., Triangle, VA 22172 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114. Late retired Marine Corps and U.S. ARMY Veteran.
