He leaves to cherish his memories, his longtime companion, Ethel Powe of Morgan City, Louisiana; his daughter, Vernette Dugan of Baltimore, Maryland; and his sister, Delores White; along with a host of family and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, James White, Sr. and Leona Shelton White; three sisters, Patricia White, Margaret White Clark, and Barbara Ann White Charlot; two brothers, Leroy Simpson and Billy James White; along with both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
