

David was born on April 26, 1922 in Meredith, the son of the late Cyril Arthur and Leah Pearl (Wylie) Ogborn. He married Alice Fuhrmann in 1946.
David grew up in Delaware County, one of 17 children. He served his country in the US Army during WWII in the European Theatre and was a recipient of the Purple Heart medal.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Alice E. Ogborn of Franklin; a son, David C. Ogborn of Whitehall, NY; and a daughter, Judith Carol Ogborn of Rural Hall, NC; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his brother, Charles Ogborn, of Franklin.
David was predeceased by a son, William Tracy Ogborn; his parents; his seven brothers, George, Ronald, Raymond, Robert, Howard, Arthur and William Ogborn; and his eight sisters, Ruth Parker, Janet Hall, Jessie Seward, Isabel MacIntyre, Mabel Hughes, Ethel Jester, Gavina Elderkin and Betty Rockefeller.
Friends may call on Saturday, December 12, 2015 from 11 to 1 pm at the Kenneth L. Bennett Funeral Home, 425 Main Street, Franklin at which time the family will be in attendance. Graveside services with military honors will take place at 1:30 pm, also on Saturday, in the Ouleout Valley Cemetery in Franklin with Rev. Steven Fournier officiating
