Alberta was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of many years of the Poasttown 1st Church of God.
Alberta is preceded in death by her parents, Price and Ida Mae; her sisters Roberta South Spencer, Janet Faye South Retherford, and Wilma Justine South (Tina) Davis; and her brothers Marion Dallas South and Freddie South.
Alberta is survived by her husband, William B “Sonny” Day; her sons William Bill Day and James Carson Day; her grandsons Cody Day and Mossimo Thad Day; her great-granddaughter Saliyah Day; her brother Jerry Oscar (Shirley) South; and her sisters Marilyn South Lacey, April Lee South Durham, and Emma Elizabeth South (Charlie) Metcalf.
