

Allene Milligan, age 81, of Carlisle, passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021. She was born June 10, 1939 to the late Woodrow and Mae Turner of Breathitt County, Kentucky into a loving family with 11 siblings.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of sixty years, Lon Carson Milligan and great-grandson, Davis Vanover. Also preceding her in death are brothers, Ed Turner, Jr., and John Kenneth Turner, and sister Beulah Riley.
Allene leaves behind a family she loved dearly. Daughter, Sherri Vanover and husband, David; son, Greg and wife, Kris; grandsons, Blake Vanover and wife, Andrea, Spencer Vanover and wife, Stormi, and granddaughter, Emily Milligan. Her great-grandchildren are Ava, Kinleigh, Austyn, Knox and Rhett Vanover.
Also surviving her are very best friends; sisters, Bert Wolfe, Kay Bowling, Bernice Holland, Carol Langford, Sue Mosley, and Joyce Smith and brothers Danny and Dean Turner. She leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews that she loved, as well as, her Milligan family, too.
Her gift to make us laugh will be missed, but her faith in God and love for her family will be treasured.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at noon at the Dixie Highway Christian Center, 5287 Dixie Highway, Franklin, Ohio with her brother-in-law, Dave Bowling officiating. Visitation will be before from 11 a.m. until noon. Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the church.
