Bert Shearer

JULY 19, 1945 – JULY 4, 2024

Bert Shearer, age 78, of Miamisburg, Ohio passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2024. Bert was born in Middletown, Ohio on July 19, 1945. Bert is preceded in death by his parents, Orval Franklin Shearer and Henrietta Shearer and his wife, Bonnie Shearer.

Bert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. The most important thing in Bert’s life was his relationship with Jesus Christ and sharing Christ with as many people as possible. Bert was an important part of the Franklin Baptist Church and loved serving God with his church family.

Bert is survived by his daughters, Robin (Terry) Dalton of Carlisle, Rhonda (Randy) McClure of West Carrollton, Rita Shearer of West Carrollton and sons; Robbie Shearer of Hamilton, and Randy Shearer of Middletown as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bert will be missed by his family and friends.

A visitation for Bert will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Anderson Funeral Home, 1357 E. 2nd St., Franklin, Ohio 45005, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ethan Daves officiating.
