

Betty Layer Totten passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010. She was a lifelong resident of Middletown, member of the First Christian Church, and former administrative assistant to Logan T. Johnston, President/Chairman of the Board of Armco Steel Corporation. Betty was born May 22, 1921 to Roland and Carrie Graham Layer, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were husband, Forest A. Brumagen; husband, Albert R. Totten; son, Forest A. Brumagen, Jr.; son, Frederick Totten; grandsons, Matthew Brumagen and David Totten; brothers, Graham, James, Richard, David, and Eugene Layer; nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Sam. Survivors include daughter, Kay John Wilmot of Somerset, Kentucky; son, John Pat Totten of Port Charlotte, Florida; grandsons, Jeffrey Christine Brumagen of Woodridge Illinois, Andrew Brumagen of Bolingbrook, Illinois, John Mary Totten of Franklin; granddaughter, Kristine Totten of Middletown; beloved great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend Laureen A. Roe officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to P.A.W.S., P.O.
