

Catherine E. Reynolds, age 92, of Franklin, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Kingston of Miamisburg. She was born December 3, 1922 in Willowdell, Ohio, the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Meyer) Berning. Catherine retired from Franklin City Schools after 30 years of service. She was also an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Franklin for 69 years, and a founding and lifetime member of the St. Mary's Alter Rosary Society and the Catholic Ladies of Columbia. Catherine was also a member of the Franklin Band Parents, a Brownie and Girl Scout Troop mother and a Lions Club Lioness. She and Art were Senior Citizen Franklin River Days King and Queen and she loved to play Bingo with her friends. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Charles Arthur "Art" Reynolds; son-in-law, Mike Cook; great-granddaughter, Corey Dishun; sister, Helen Fullencamp; and 8 brothers-in-law; 2 sisters-in-law. Catherine is survived by her three daughters, Joann Cook of Middletown, Ohio, Betty (Joe) Schaviak of Fairborn, Ohio, Pat (Bill) Dishun, of Franklin, Ohio; two granddaughters, Michelle (Tim) Hanks, Stephanie (Bobby) Peck; three grandsons, Tim (Michele) Dishun, Mark (Sherry) Dishun, Matt (Sherry) Dishun; eight great-granddaughters, Harleigh Hanks, Stacie, Kyla, Browyn and Braylee Dishun, Gabrielle, Kiara and Joslyn Cook; four great-grandsons, Jake, Justin and Tyler Dishun, Bruce Cook; brother, Bernard (Irene) Berning; five sisters, Marie Huelsman, Loretta Link, Annie Hemmelgarn, Veronica (Art) Hermiller, Francis (Kenny) Siefring; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 22, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Homes, 1357 E. Second Street, Franklin, Ohio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church, Franklin, Ohio, with Father Jim Manning officiating. Gathering and prayers will take place at the funeral home at 9:00 am before Mass. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to St. Mary Catholic Church, St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Kingston Music Memory at Kingston of Miamisburg. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Hospice of Dayton and the entire staff, volunteers and residents at Kingston of Miamisburg.
