Charles Guthrie

Charles Guthrie Jr. Age 87 of Miamisburg,Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 14, 2011. He was born January 15, 1924 in Franklin, Ohio the son of Charles and Addie Guthrie. He was a lifetime farmer and also worked as a brick layer assistant at AK Steel for 15 years until retiring in 1988.

He is preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild, Teresa Gray; and five sisters, Helen Powell, Clara Allen, Nora Ballinger, Leona Wilcher, and Yvonne Argo.

Charles is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Lula; two sons, Charles Guthrie III and Wayne Guthrie (Kim); three daughters, Nora Adams (Ray), Judy Gray (Bill), and Addie Isenhart (Pete); four grandchildren, Beth Adams, Sarah Davidson (Jamie), Wayne Lee Guthrie, and Gary Guthrie; two great grandchildren, Braden and Jacob Davidson; two step-granddaughters, Stephanie and Jessie Miller; and three sisters, Addie Thacker, Jean Mullendore, and Virginia Emmett; He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Anderson Funeral Home (Franklin) with James Maggard, Frank Kelly, and Herschel Collins officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery. www.anderson-fh.com
