

Charles Ray Slone, age 66, of Morrow, died Wednesday, June 27, 2012 at the Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born in Flemming, Kentucky, the son of Charles E. Slone and Myrtle Leedy Slone. Charles graduated from Monroe High School in 1964 and Morehead State University in 1968. He worked as an accountant for the Heinz Corporation and the Springboro Shooting Sport Gun Shop. He was a licensed auctioneer, a member of the National Rifle Association and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Charles also was a member of the Yankee Road First Church of God. He is survived by his wife Nancy Fread-Slone of Morrow; one son, Charles Stacy Slone of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Sam and Sophie Slone of Morrow; his mother, Myrtle Slone of Middletown; one sister, Pat Olen Crank of Connersville, Indiana; one step daughter, Michelle Dan Murad; one step son, Mike Paula Henschen; three step grandsons; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father and him being a triplet, he was preceded in death by two infant sisters. Funeral services will be 12:00 noon Monday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend S. Kevin Collins and Reverend Rodney Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Butler County Memorial Park.
