Clifford D. Howard, age 74, of Middletown, passed away Tuesday evening at the West Chester Medical Center. He was born in Lewisburg, Ohio, August 22, 1935, a son of Henry and Jewell Howard. He was a veteran of the Navy, and belonged to the Towne Boulevard Church of God. Mr. Howard was retired from the Energy Management Department of Armco Steel. He coached Pee Wee football and baseball for over 20 years, and belonged to the Moose Lodge and the VFW. Survivors include his wife, Lavonne Smith Howard; a daughter, Lisa K. Walton; 3 sons, Clifford D. Howard, Jr., Eric Wayne Howard, and Chet Ray Howard; 8 grandchildren, and 2 greatgrandchildren; a sister, Christine McGuire; and 2 brothers, Linville Howard and Jason Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Juanita; and 8 brothers, Arthur, Frank, Ray, Hank, J.D., Bill, Eugene, and Tommy. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, August 19, at Woodside Cemetery, with Mr. Ken Woleab officiating. Condolences may be sent to the family via our website, [email protected].
