Dewitt T. Calmes, age 82, of Springboro, Ohio, died Thursday October 29, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Evelyn, Kentucky on March 15, 1933 to Dewitt and Dovie (Spicer) Calmes. Dewitt served in the Army during the Korean War. Dewitt enjoyed being outdoors and golfing. He was employed with General Motors for 44 years and retired in 1995. He was preceded in death by his parents Dewitt T. and Dovie Calmes. Dewitt is survived by his wife of 58 years Sandra (Hawkins) Calmes two sons, Jeffrey Calmes, Stephen Calmes; two grandsons, Gabriel Calmes, Nicholas Calmes; two sisters, Betty Dixon, Peggy Grossweiler; brother, Frank Calmes. Funeral services are 11:00 am Monday November 2, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Homes 40 North Main Street Springboro, Ohio with Wayne Mock officiating. Burial will be in Springboro Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
