
Donald Earl Bishop, age 92, of Franklin, Ohio, died Saturday May 12, 2018 at Hospice of Butler-Warren Counties. He was born in Franklin, Ohio on March 13, 1926 to Howard and Anna (Deardoff) Bishop. Donald served in the US Army during WW II where he participated in the Battle of the Bulge, was a member of Carlisle Lions Club, Eastern Star Lodge #55 F&AM, Shrine Club, and New Jersey Presbyterian Church. He was employed with Miami Conservancy for 25 years and retired in 1986. He was also an avid woodworker but his true love was farming. He enjoyed a life full of family and friends having never met a stranger. He was preceded in death by his father, Howard Bishop, mother, Anna Mary Bishop, wife, Joyce Bishop, sister, Joan Perry, sister, Lois Dyas, sister, Esther Puls, and son, Paul V. Bishop. Donald is survived by his two daughters, Brenda (Billy) Wilson, Janese (David) Griffin; five grandchildren, Emily Griffin Bowman, LeeAnna Wilson Dawson, Greg Griffin, Daniel Wilson, and Douglas Wilson; and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services are 10:00 am Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Anderson Funeral Homes 40 North Main Street Springboro, Ohio with Reverend Don Clarkson officiating. Burial will be in New Jersey Presbyterian Church Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
