Donald R Castle

Donnie loved his family fiercely, including his best friend and wife JoFran. During their 46 years of marriage, Donnie and JoFran had 2 daughters, Mandy Trenum and Tiffany Trenum, and one son, Shawn Hogsten. They have 8 grandchildren, Taylor Oliver (husband James), Dylan Trenum, Brady Trenum, Cadyn Trenum, Cody Gunn, Kailey Trenum, Jase Trenum, and Ava Grace Gunn.

Donnie was a 1977 graduate of Franklin High School and a proud Wildcat. He loved playing the guitar, listening to music, muscle cars, and the Bengals. He began his career at Armco in 1979 before retiring in 2021. Donnie drove a bus in the Kings school district and affectionately referred to the bus riders as his other grandchildren. Donnie was a great friend to countless coworkers and never met a stranger.

Donnie’s memory lives on in his wife JoFran Castle, children Mandy Trenum, Tiffany Trenum, and Shawn Hogsten, sons-in-law, Pete Trenum and Mike Trenum, Amanda Noble, his cherished grandchildren, father Donald Castle, brother Doug Castle, and numerous other beloved family members and friends. Donnie joins his mother Faye and granddaughter Ava Grace in heaven.

The visitation will be held at Franklin Baptist Church on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 11am to 1pm. A Celebration of Life service will follow. The church is located at 160 Deardoff Rd, Franklin, Ohio.
