

Donnie Logan Kroger, age 60, of Middletown, passed away Friday, September 14, 2012 at his residence. He was born November 9, 1951 in Middletown to Edward and Ruby Kroger. He was a lifetime member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 18. He retired from The New Keibler Thompson Corporation with many years working inside AK Steel. Donnie loved life and his family. He was a long term planner. He always wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of. He worked hard and saved and thanked the Lord for all of his blessings. Donnie loved spending time with his son and grandchildren and nephews target shooting in the backyard. Donnie liked playing in the dirt. Growing vegetables and melons and giving them away. He is survived by his wife and soul mate of 42 years, Sandra Gail McCoy Kroger; his son and best friend, Donnie Lee and daughter-in-law, Margaret Ann; two grandchildren, Alex and Haley Kroger; sisters, Betty Bowman, Victoria Tom Burton, Donna Rick Enright of Middletown; brothers, Barry Donna, Paul Vicky, Victor Vicky of Middletown, Daniel Carla of Springboro, Mark of Dayton, and James of Fairfield; many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews, nieces, in laws, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, John and Donna Kroger and Logan and Myrtle Burton; an infant grandson, Branden Kroger; sisters, Patsy Charles and Sue Bennett; brothers, Peter and John Kroger; and two infant brothers. The family wants to thank Dr. Mary Ellen Gaeke and her staff and Hearthland Hospice for all of their care. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Breitenbach-McCoy-Leffler Funeral Home with Reverend David Bowling officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
