Doris Schnecker

Doris Kronborg Schnecker, age 89, formerly of Middletown, passed away, Monday, September 19, 2011. She had been a resident of Otterbein Home since 1998. She was born August 14, 1922 in Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of Kristian and Mette Brix Kronborg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Schnecker, Jr. in 2009; a sister, Maryanna Mills; and her parents. She is survived by her sons, John C. Lisa Schnecker of Lake Zurich, IL, Robert E. Maria Schnecker of Valencia, Spain; four grandchildren, Cristina and Robert Jr., Kyle and Sarah Schnecker. A graduate of Indiana University, Doris had worked at the State Department in Washington DC, the Bureau of Employment Services, and as a Clerk of City Commission in Middletown. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, September 21 at First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Avenue, with Reverend Tim Doty officiating. A gathering will immediately follow the service at church. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 2910 Central Avenue, Middletown, 45044 or to Otterbein–Lebanon Retirement Community, 585 North State Route 741, Lebanon, Ohio 45036.
