Douglas R. "Tom" Cox

Douglas R. "Tom" Cox, age 72, of Franklin, Ohio, died Saturday December 12, 2015 at Hospice Care of Butler/Warren Counties. He was born in Germantown, Ohio on February 23, 1943 to Ben and Mary (Lakes) Cox. He was self employed as a truck driver for 25 years and retired in 1992. After retirement, Tom enjoyed riding his horses and mules. He was preceded in death by his father, Ben Cox, mother, Mary Effie Cox, five brothers and two sisters. Douglas is survived by his wife of 52 years, Geri (Stamper) Cox; two sons, Duane (Ronda) Cox, Benjamin Thomas (Angie) Cox; daughter, Sherry Lynn Cash; five grandsons, Wesley Cox, Adam Cash, Ethan Cox, Zach Cox, Eli Cox; two granddaughters, Hannah Cash, Emily Miller; and grandson on the way; sister, Della Marie Hoskins; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends. Funeral services are 1:00 pm Friday December 18, 2015 at Anderson Funeral Homes 1357 East Second Street Franklin, Ohio with Pastor Hubert Sonny Short officiating. Burial will be in Woodhill Cemetery.
