Earl Cottongim

Earl Cottongim, age 85, of Middletown, OH passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Hospice of Butler and Warren Counties. He was born December 11, 1930 in Fletcher, KY the son of William and Margaret (Gilbert) Cottongim.

Earl was employed with Delco Morraine as a tool and die maker. He was a member of Jefferson Masonic Lodge and enjoyed farming. Earl served in the U.S. Army.

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter in law, Trina Cottongim; brother, Roy Cottongim; and sister, Myrtle Reece.

Earl is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary J. (Wilson) Cottongim; his three sons, Dan (Elizabeth) Cottongim, Steve Cottongim, and Andy Cottongim; granddaughter, Amy (Joel) Andrews; grandson, Jared Cottongim; and sister, Willowdean Reynolds.

Funeral service will be Saturday, June 4 at 11am at Breitenbach Anderson Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hapton and Reverend Jacob Flannery officiating. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11am prior to service. Burial will be in Miltonville Cemetery with military honors provided by the U.S. Army.
